I was the opening keynote speaker yesterday for Opportunities 2009, a conference in Ontario, Canada, that was focused on workplace trends to 2015.
![]() The keynote description went like this: What Comes Next: And What Should We Do About It? In the coming weeks and days, I've got a lot to blog about this keynote: I took a good hard look at emerging careers, transitioning careers, and how existing careers are changing as a result of ever-increasing velocity. The talk was extremely well received -- probably because I focused the 700+ people in the room on the opportunities of the future rather than the current economic muck of today. What was interesting was that for the first time, one of my keynotes was tweeted from the room - you can read the thread here.
